Monterey & Big Sur

Sunday evening we drove down the coast to the city of Monterey. The next day we explored a bit of the area and took a walk down "Cannery Row". Kathy and I passed up the Aquarium as we both have been there and Ellie is too young to get much from it.

After getting our fill of the local tourist trap we went for a stroll down by the beach. We saw some of the local wildlife: seals, otters, cormorants and a bus full of German tourists.

Tuesday we drove a bit farther down the coast to Big Sur. It is a bit inland and was therefore quite a bit warmer. We had lunch at a picnic site in a grove of oaks and later went for a hike among the coastal redwoods up to a small water fall. Ellie was alert the whole hike up to the falls and loved her forest surroundings. Do we have a future tree hugger? Like clockwork she fell asleep in my arms on the hike back to the car.

After driving back up to Monterey we found a great pizza dive by chance. Ellie impressed all the customers with her contagious smile. Mmmmm, baby flavored pizza...

Cousin Nina's Baby Shower

Ellie is going to have a new cousin Gabriel in September. We went to celebrate Dan, Nina, and the little bambino at a shower in Marin.

Ellie met her cousin Jace there too

Ted won the drinking beer from the baby bottle contest

Tiki time

Bubbe and Yeti had a fabulous party to celebrate Ted & I's birthdays as well as Eliana's welcome it was so much fun. We even had a signature drink the Eliana Lada- delicious and dangerous!

There was even a conch and tiki lighting ceremony

California Vacation

So we survived the airplane and made it all the way to California to visit with Teds family and have a little vacation before I head back to work.

The first night we went out to dinner and had a surprise visit from Aunt Phyllis

On Friday Ellie got to meet her Great-Grandma Nannie

Fingers & Toes

Ta-dah..I have now found my toes, I only wish I could get them into my mouth

Love these little hands :)

I am sooo funny

Last Hanukkah, my mom gave Ted a singing bear - Ellie loves it :)

4 month visit

Another wonderful family weekend- Ted's softball game, a bar-b-que, date movie, then dinner with my parents to celebrate our birthdays a bit early.

Flying at the park with daddy!

Grandpa is funny

All this playing..time for a nap.

Ellie had her four month doctor visit she is all caught up now. 13.3 pounds (50%), 24 inches long (65%)- what how can she be tall? We also survived the second round of shots- mommy didnt cry this time but poor Ellie had more tears.

Rolled Over!

This morning when I went to get Ellie, she was on her tummy! She must have rolled over sometime last night- now if I can get her to do it again when I can see it!

Monkeying around on the 4th of July

Her fuzzy brother & sister always need to give Ellie kisses 1st thing in the morning

Ellie sure loves her monkeys

Practicing for future camp outs.

Trying to sit up like a big girl

Ellie can sit up if she's supported with pillows or in her special chair.

Playtime....

3 months ... 4 years

The last weekend of June was a big one. Ellie turned 3 months old and we celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary! Of course we seem to only take pictures of Ellie so there arent any of us.

Grandma and Grandpa came over to babysit so we could go out. We had a wonderful night, dinner at the Melting Pot and then a stroll around Old Littleton.

Ellie loves to be outside. She has loved the tree in our front yard since we brought her home. We lay on the blanket underneath and she admires the leaves and how the sunlight plays through the tree. One day a bueatiful butterfly came to visit, Elli squealed with delight when she saw it.

She also loves patterns and colors. I thought she was going to crawl up on this table just to get a better look.

Fathers Day

We celebrated Ted's 1st fathers day by going to his softball game and then daddy played with his present- a welding jacket (of course :) )

In the shade at the game.

Okay so we didn't really watch the game that much, playing with our toys is a little more exciting right now.
