A few more pictures

"Ok, let's go for a ride!"

"Sorry guys, I don't like this outfit either."

"These stripes do nothing for me."

Visiting with Grandma and Grampa.

We have a baby!

Eliana Kait Zeiger arrived last night at 10:52pm. Weighing in at a petite 5lb 15.4oz and 19in long. Labor went quite well (especially after the epideral kicked in). Mama and baby are doing great and trying to catch up on thier sleep between doctor and nurse visits.

At the hospital

Well, we made it to the end. Kat and I arrived at the hospital at 7 this morning. The decision was made to induce her. (We where actually supposed to come in last night, but the snow storm delayed us). The nurces got her hooked up to the IV and we're waiting for the "potosin" to start to take effect.

One week left!

Here's the nursery...

Everything is finally washed, put away, built, etc.

Bags are packed and ready to go to.
I made it! Friday was the last day before Spring Break and so now I have the week to relax and wait for Baby Z to make her appearance.

Feet

So Baby Z has decided to push her way down by shoving her foot up into my ribcage. That is her hand on the right hand side.

Mama's feet are not happy :( this is why Ted is supposed to be rubbing them.

Which of the following is bigger?

Mama's belly, or

The planet Earth.

We're getting close now

It looks like Baby Z has started her journey into the wild world outside the womb. Kathy says that the baby has started dropping. You know what that means, only a few weeks to go. At this point I'm guessing that the baby will come a few days early. It’s too bad that Kathy wasn't due a couple weeks later. If that was the case she could go from her maternity leave right into summer break without having to return to work. Oh well, the baby will come when she's ready and only then!

We are ready on the home front, with the nursery all done, baby seats installed and all the gadgets in place (diaper pail, baby wipe warmer, baby monitor, etc.) Maybe I'll stop by Home depot and buy a carbon monoxide detector, you can never be too safe!
