Rockin Out!

Yesterday we had an assembly at school for the kids. The performers were playing 'drums' on junkyard items. I was sitting in the front row with my students. Right after the first drum beat Baby Z started dancing, doing rolls, and kicking. It was the craziest feeling, I don't know if she loved it or was afraid.

6 months

Ted's holiday party. Normally I love getting dressed up and going out dancing with my husband. It was just a little harder finding the right dress this time. Oh well we had fun anyway trying to dance with my belly between us.

6 months and here is the belly :0! A friend at school has given our little girl the name Lucy and while thats not a name we have choosen it has stuck for now so people are calling her Lucy :). Anyway "Lucy" had a great time at Daddy's party last night. We think she likes to dance too.

So our this little lady certainly likes to kick especially while mommy is at yoga. She is also finally big enough that you can feel her kick on the outside as well so Ted is excited to be able to feel her now too. We hosted a great Thanksgiving feast with the Kenney clan and a few wonderful friends. We figured that we had better get our hosting turn in before next year when we have a 7 month old! We also finally started our registry- wow what a whirlwind that was. Registering for our wedding was fun but this felt like work. Who knew there were 30 differnet kinds of bottles?

Its a Girl!

This morning we found out that our little one is a girl! Here are some great pics and videos of her.

She is very active and likes to move all over. This week she is about 7 1/2 inches long.

She can be a bit camera shy, when trying to get a picture of her face she kept putting her hands in front. We did finally get a shot through:

She is facing you her nose is in the center.

And here are her cute little feet.

Now for the action:

Watch out for those feet- just like her mom.

Getting a little arm workout. You can see her strong 162 bpm heart beating away.

We're now accepting thoughts for names so bring them on.

Boy or Girl?

So we still wont be able to take a peek for another month but at my 16 week checkup yesterday we listened in on the heart beat and it was about 160 BPM. According to all of the folklore out there, that says its a girl but we'll have to see.

Every week Ted and I seem to go back and forth calling it a boy or a girl. Right now I am guessing boy- who knows? :)

Oh the insanity

So I was told by all of my friends and the book that I should keep some kind of journal during my pregnancy. Later I will look back at it and laugh and cry. I was also finally convinced to start taking pictures of my ever increasing belly size. Well Ill give it a try :)

This week I am just a bit more than 16 weeks- thats 4 months for all of my friends that are not yet in this stage of life. I know its only a bit of math but before I was pregnant I could never figure out how old all of my friends kiddos were that always reported them in months. Now I see how even the little things start to change.

Craziness- yes the hormones are getting to me. I can go from overjoyed, to angry, to crying in a matter of 5 minutes. Sorry Ted- thanks for loving me, putting up with me and not having me hauled away in a straight jacket.

Cravings- so far its only been queso from Chili's and yes it has to be from Chilis.

Sleeping- what is that? And I hear I better get used to this for the next several years.

Sorry for my crankiness this week, I have conferences at school and sleep was ever illusive last night.

I do feel truly blessed and everyday I feel like I get to know Baby Z a bit more.

Love Kathy
